Pipetting Technique
Pipetting technique is important to get optimal results from the DiaMed-ID
system. Cells should be added first, using the FP2 or EP3 pipette held at an
acute angle. Allow the tip to rest on the edge of the well and dispense the
solution into one side of the cup. The fluid should run down into the cup and
form a meniscus over the micro-tube to create a 'bubble' between the cells and
the test gel. To prevent cross contamination between microwells avoid touching
the tip on the side of the cupule during pipetting.
Secondly pipette the test sample, plasma or serum using the pipette held
upright, directly above the cells and slightly to one side of the cupule. Under
no circumstances pipette directly onto the gel surface or into the cell
suspension, this may lead to false results.
